Today, I witnessed something that I thought was only a legend. While off the coast of Africa, scanning the ocean for any unusual movement, I saw a massive, dark shadow beneath the waves, larger than anything I’d ever seen. At first, I thought it was just an unusually large whale, but then I caught sight of its fin—a towering dorsal fin, slicing through the water like a knife. The creature moved with a purpose and speed that I can’t compare to anything else, and the sheer size was… unreal. It’s hard to estimate just how big it was, but it had to be over 50 feet at least.

The strangest part was the silence that fell over the area. The schools of fish around us scattered, and even the birds above went quiet. The water became completely still after it disappeared, like the ocean itself was holding its breath. I tried to snap a picture, but it vanished as quickly as it appeared. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the sight of that giant fin disappearing into the depths. If the Megalodon is out there, it’s hiding well, and it’s every bit as terrifying as the stories say.
