I\u2019ve been on plenty of hunts, but nothing could\u2019ve prepared me for what I saw deep in the North American wilderness. I\u2019d heard rumors of the Wendigo, the terrifying creature said to roam the northern forests, but I never took them too seriously\u2014until now.<\/p>

Late at night, as I made my way through the dense undergrowth, an unnatural chill filled the air. I couldn\u2019t shake the feeling of being watched, but every time I turned, there was nothing but darkness and silence. Then, I saw it: a tall, gaunt figure moving between the trees, almost gliding. Its limbs were elongated, unnaturally thin, and its eyes\u2026 two pinpoints of light piercing through the dark. It moved quickly, too fast for me to get a clear view, but the brief glimpse I caught will haunt me forever.<\/p>

I tried to stay quiet, hoping it wouldn\u2019t notice me, but then the creature let out a low, chilling growl that seemed to echo through the forest. Every hair on my body stood up, and I knew I had to get out of there. I backed away slowly, but the Wendigo seemed to follow, its movement nearly silent except for the occasional crack of a branch.<\/p>

I don\u2019t know how long it followed me, but the second I got out of the forest, the air seemed to return to normal. No more sounds, no more movement. I barely escaped that night, and I won\u2019t be returning to those woods anytime soon.
