Description:

The Man-Eating Tree of Nubia is described as a large, carnivorous plant with long, vine-like appendages covered in sharp spines and a central structure resembling a monstrous mouth. Its branches are said to be prehensile, able to grasp and constrict anything that gets too close. The tree exudes a sickly sweet aroma, thought to attract unsuspecting prey.

Habitat:

Dense, humid rainforests with minimal human presence, typically in secluded regions of Nubia or Madagascar.

Abilities:

The tree can extend its vines to ensnare prey, tightening its grip to crush or immobilize. Upon ensnaring a creature, the tree is said to release a sticky, digestive sap that breaks down flesh, allowing the plant to absorb nutrients. The tree emits a sweet aroma that attracts animals (and allegedly humans) within its reach.

Ways To Attract:

Legends suggest that offerings of raw meat or fresh animal carcasses may lure the tree into exposing its tendrils, though no known researchers or hunters have confirmed this method. The risk level makes this approach highly inadvisable.
