Description:
As a cryptid, the Thylacine is often described as an elusive, shadowy figure glimpsed only briefly in dense forests or rugged terrain. Witnesses report seeing a creature with a dog-like head, prominent black stripes along its back, and a long, stiff tail. Sightings usually occur at dawn or dusk, and the creature is known for its silent, ghostly presence, disappearing into the underbrush with remarkable stealth.
Habitat:
Dense forests, remote mountains, and sparsely populated wilderness areas in Tasmania and Australia. Some sightings have even been reported in parts of New Guinea.
Abilities:
Its jaw, capable of opening to nearly 90 degrees, is thought to help it capture and hold onto prey, especially if it hunts in rugged, low-prey environments. It also has night vision.
