Description:
The Krause is a shadowy, humanoid figure often described as having a slender, elongated body with arms and legs that seem too long for its frame. Its skin is said to be a dull, ghostly gray, and it moves with an unnatural, almost gliding motion. The Krause has large, round eyes that reflect light, giving it an eerie, glowing appearance at night. Witnesses claim it can blend into the jungle’s dense shadows, making it difficult to spot until it’s very close. Known for its unsettling ability to mimic human sounds, the Krause is often heard whispering or calling out in voices that lure travelers deeper into the jungle.
Habitat:
The Krause is believed to reside in dense, tropical rainforests and high-altitude forests of Southeast Asia, where few humans travel. It favors shadowy, isolated areas where it can remain hidden.
Abilities:
The Krause can imitate human voices and sounds, often calling out in familiar tones to lure travelers into dangerous or confusing areas of the jungle. It can blend perfectly into its surroundings, remaining still and nearly invisible among trees and foliage, especially at night. Some reports suggest that the Krause can mesmerize its victims with its glowing eyes, causing them to become disoriented or even lose their sense of direction.
Weaknesses:
- Noise
- Sacred Symbols
- Bright Light
Ways To Attract:
According to legend, the Krause is attracted to individuals who travel alone and remain quiet, allowing it to use its mimicry to lure them. It is also believed to be drawn to areas where people leave offerings or disrespect nature. However, due to its psychological influence, attracting the Krause is discouraged.
